Texas Department of Public Safety announced funeral arrangements set for Trooper Moises Sanchez, 49, who passed away on Saturday, August 24 from complications due to surgery. 

Sanchez served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1989 to 1991. He was a Texas State Trooper for four years. 

Public Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 5,  9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Legacy Chapels located at 4610 S. Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6 at 1 PM at Bert Ogden Arena located at 4900 S. Interstate 69C in Edinburg.

The service is open to the public and seating will be on a first come first served basis.
Doors to the public will open at approximately 12:00 PM

Trooper Sanchez will be buried with full military honors. 

Any gifts, flowers or packages intended to be delivered to Trooper Sanchez, or to the family are to be delivered on Thursday at  Legacy Chapel in Edinburg during public visitation hours.  No packages, flowers or gifts will be accepted or allowed entry on Friday at the Bert Ogden Arena.
